After 45 years at its purpose-built site on London Wall, the London Museum – formerly the Museum of London – is currently relocating to the poultry and general market buildings of West Smithfield and is expected to open in 2026. With over 7 million objects in collections divided between here and its Docklands site, the museum documents the 450,000 year history of ordinary Londoners.
